Imam Siddique slams Salman Khan... again?

Looks like old player of Bigg Boss Imam Siddique is not happy with the current contestants of Bigg Boss. Since they aren't exciting enough for Imam, the motormouth thought, he could well use the opportunity to get all the possible spotlights on him.

Imam recently took to Facebook to express how disappointed he was with Salman Khan.

During his stay in the house last season, Imam shared an unpleasant equation with the host Salman Khan and he's still not over it as yet. He took to Facebook to express how disappointed he was with Sallu mian.

Imam's FB page read:

"F.Y.I: to whomsoever this may concern. Mr. Salman Khan has stated in an interview that I had no work prior to bigg boss hence was frustrated. Factually inaccurate."

It further read, "As a matter of fact, it was me that Salman had hired as a choreographer for a film that he was acting in and producing before he signed his first ever feature film. The actress was none other than my dear friend Ericca De Sousa Vohra & the co producer/ director was Mishal Varma. Incidentally I have yet to be paid for that assignment. After this first ever unpleasant experience in #bollywood, I realised I 'n e v e r' wanted to work in bollywood (sic)."

"Another point that I'd like to clarify is that I was called for bigg boss season 1 as a casting director, by Mr. Arjun Menon but since I was already on contract with Eskimo models at the time I turned them down. Every year since, I have been approached for the seasons but constantly declined.
Last year because I was told it would be a parivarik family oriented show I decided to agree to go in as a wild card entry. Yes I did message Salman cause I saw that contestants in the house were disrespecting the platform and the opportunity. Claiming that they could make Rs.50 lakhs in a couple of projects and need not have to suffer the indignity of 72 hours of physical labour due to a task that too on the auspicious occasion of dhanteras. I messaged Salman to say that they had hired incompetent idiots who did not deserve to be there and I was keen to go. Over to you Mr. Khan..(sic)"

Imam Siddique who remained till the the finale of Bigg Boss last season had earlier apologised to Salman Khan over his misdeeds on the show.

It’s stale goss that Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya are coming together after 15 years for his untitled next. Now we hear that Himesh Reshammiya will compose music for Salman’s film while Irshad Kamil will write the lyrics.
Usually Sooraj’s films include Indian folk and classical music. So how did Himesh bag Barjatya’s project? Apparently, Sallu put in a good word for Himesh to the director and well, who can ignore Salman’s wish. Himesh has given music to Sallu’s films in the past. The two had even had a fallout but they buried the hatchet in 2011, when Himesh composed the music for Salman’s Bodyguard…
We hope we get some good music from Salman and Himesh this time!

Salman Khan's hit-and-run case: Court rejects activist's plea

A sessions court today rejected the plea of a social activist seeking to intervene in the 2002 hit-and-run case allegedly involving actor Salman Khan to help the prosecution in the trial.
Judge S D Deshpande ruled that only an aggrieved party, complainant or witness had a right to intervene.
In this case, the applicant, Santosh Daundkar, was neither a witness, complainant nor an aggrieved party. Hence, he could not be allowed to intervene, the court said.
The court also rejected Daundkar's another plea seeking transfer of his complaint from magistrate court to sessions court about perjury action against Salman and police for allegedly producing wrong witnesses in this case, as a result of which the trial was delayed.
The judge held that he had no jurisdiction to transfer the complaint. He asked the applicant to approach a higher court or the Principal Judge of Sessions Court in this regard.
On Salman's plea for a direction to media to report true and fair proceedings of the 2002 hit-and-run case, the court deferred its order till October 15 saying the Bombay High Court was seized of this matter.
The court said that Salman had already moved the High Court by filing a defamation and civil suit against some media channels for allegedly not correctly reporting the proceedings of the case. As the matter was pending in High Court, the sessions court did not give any ruling on the actor's plea.
The judge observed the high court had already given an interim ruling that the media should provide a fair and objective reporting in the case involving the film star.
Salman's lawyer Shrikant Shivade argued that the media was biased against the actor and was not reporting correctly the court proceedings.
This had tarnished the image of Salman in the eyes of public, he alleged and urged the media be directed to report true and fair proceedings in the case.
On October 15, the court would hear Salman's lawyer and prosecution on whether the trial should begin afresh or evidence adduced earlier by the Magistrate should be considered by the sessions court.

Previously, the duo has given superhits like MAINE PYAR KIYA (1989), HUM AAPKE HAIN KOUN..! (1994), HUM SAATH-SAATH HAIN: We Stand United (1999).

The film will go on floor in June 2014 and the producers are looking at a Diwali (2015) release.

An official from Rajshri Productions said: ''Himesh will compose the music and Irshad Kamil (of JAB WE MET, LOVE AAJ KAL, ROCKSTAR and AASHIQUI 2 fame) will pen the lyrics.'' It is an unlikely choice for the Barjatyas, who are known to stick to traditional Indian folk and classical music, while Himesh's strong point has been highly charged electronic music. The buzz is that it was Salman who convinced Sooraj.''

A miffed Salman Khan throws fan’s mobile out on the road

New Delhi: Controversy’s favourite child — Salman Khan — has once again courted news headlines owing to his moody and hot-headed temperament.

It all happened outside the Lilavati hospital, where Salman Khan had come to meet an ailing Dilip Kumar. But looking at the press and horde of fans outside the hospital premises, Salman decided not to venture out of his car. But when Salman was driving away in his car, he came across a fan clicking pictures without permission. Miffed over this act, Salman opened his car window, asked the fan to hand over his mobile and threw it away much to the shock of the fan and others present on the spot.

Speaking to the press, the fan expressed his dismay over the incident. He said that what Salman did was not right.

Is Ranbir Kapoor scared of Salman Khan?

At a recent event, RK cleared the air about using Salman’s name in his upcoming film

When Besharam trailer was out, what made to the headlines was that Ranbir Kapoor has made fun of Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan in the trailer. Well, the young lad has tried justifying the scenes… at least one scene!
Ranbir said, “There was an article which stated that we’ve made fun of Salman Khan. That’s not true.” He added, “My father’s character in the film is called Chulbul Chautala and in one of the scenes he says ‘Babli (Ranbir’s character) chod de mujhe. Main tujhe nahi chodunga’. Reacting to this I say, ‘Sirf Chulbul naam rakhnese koi Dabangg nahi ban jaata’. So it is for the character. We aren’t trying to make fun of someone.”
Well, while this Kapoor lad has justified that the filmmakers aren’t trying to make fun of Salman Khan, we wonder why he hasn’t justified the scene which offended SRK’s fans. Looks like Ranbir is scared of only one Khan in Bollywood!

Salman Khan: Being fake is pointless in 'Bigg Boss'

In its original version, the popularity of Big Brother lay in the contestants they got and the drama that ensued inside the house. While that formula worked for the desi Bigg Boss initially, ever since Salman Khan took over as show host in the fourth season, he has turned it into a bigger attraction.
The official launch of the latest season, called Bigg Boss Saath 7 which goes on air on September 15, looked more like an event to show off Khan's trademark wit and widespread appeal.
The actor made an entry dancing to Pandey ji seeti from Dabangg 2. There is word that the current season will see some notorious contestants from earlier seasons, including Dolly Bindra, recreate "hell on earth". Apart from that, television actors Kamya Punjabi, Pratyusha Banerjee (who played Anandi in Balika Vadhu but was unceremoniously booted out by Colors) and Apoorva Agnihotri with wife Shilpa Saklani are likely to go to the Bigg Boss house this season. Actor Gauhar Khan, ex-Roadies contestant Palak Johal and wrestler Sangram Singh are possible contenders.

They take home big pay cheques for dancing at weddings, so why not earn a buck while shaking a leg for the gods? The Navratri season has become the latest money-spinner for Bollywood stars and there are big bucks involved.
As usual Salman Khan is among the top earners and he recently recieved a request from Gujarat to make an appearance at a Navratri pandal. The actor is said to have doubled the money he was charging for the previous season for the Colors show but Salman wants to keep the media guessing about his pay cheque.
When asked whether he was getting five crore per episode, Salman joked, "'Kam hai... figure kam hai, jyaada charge kar raha hoon' (The figure is less, I am charging more)." Salman, 47, who returns as the host for the fourth time on the show, will play a double role of an angel and devil to the contestants holed up in 'Bigg Boss' house for three months.
The actor said it will not be a tough call for him because he has small doses of both inside him.
"There is nothing unique in the show. It is just that we have this new concept of hell and heaven. I play a double role in it and will bring out the difference through my body language only. 'Ab baar baar costume change karna to mushkil hai na' (It would be difficult to change costume each time.)," Salman told PTI in an interview.
"We all have two sides both devilish and angelic but it depends totally on us how good we can be in bringing the goodness in us and suppressing the bad side. It's going to be fun and entertaining for me," Salman said.
Last season saw Salman trying his best to make contestants like Imam Siddiqui and Rajeev Paul behave properly. Salman said he would try his best to keep a rein on contestants' behavious this time too.
"Though it's not my job to control them (contestants) on the show, I do it so that the blame should not come on me. If I don't stop them from behaving badly then people will think that I promote such behaviour. In normal life it is not a big deal but behaving badly on a prime time show is not permissible at all because families watch it," he said.
Salman believes the show has helped many celebrities to get a new lease of career.
"Many actors have got an image makeover after their participation on the show. There are many in our industry, who are stuck without their fault. The biggest example is Rahul Bhatt. When he entered the show, people thought he will give solid entertainment to the show. But he clarified his part on the day two of his arrival," Salman said.
The actor feels the contestants who create nuisance are not accepted well when they come out of the show.
"'Bigg Boss' is a family entertaining show. The show has nothing to do with small town or big town. Everything is so magnified on television and print that many contestants feel they will get a career high.
"They think by doing that they will get noticed but people will be wary of them. When they will come out they will not get many offers. Nobody wants to work with an erratic person.
It's important for them to control themselves," he said.
Bigg Boss will start airing from September 15.

I would like to choreograph Salman Khan in a Ganapati song: Amrita Maitra

Amrita Maitra, who choreographed Kris Srikkanth in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, was in Kolkata to call out to every dance enthusiast to audition for Dance India Dance Season 4. When we asked her who she would like to choreograph in Bollywood, she said, "I would love to choreograph Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. Shahid likes to go all out while rehearsing while Sonakshi is hard working and bindaas. She is also very fast in picking up steps. Then, I would also like to choreograph for Salman. I don't know if I would get this opportunity, but I would like to choreograph Salman, Shahid and Sonakshi in a full Bollywood song, preferably a Ganapati song." Amrita, who has met Salman thrice in different shows, said, "People think Salman gets angry very fast, but that is not true. He is a completely different person. Once, he came on DID Lil Masters, where I was a master, and I saw him becoming a kid with kids."

Amrita has also choreographed shows for Priyanka Chopra and Ram Charan Teja. When asked about her experience, she said, 'Priyanka's is all about styling whereas Ram is an amazing dancer. He is crazily good." Listing her favourite choreographers, The DDA official card choreographer said that she loves Remo D'Souza and Shiamak Davar. "Shiamak tells you what he thinks. He might sound blunt sometime, but then he helps you improve. He once told me that I am a dramebaaz and should try my luck in Bollywood."

Abhinav Kashyap Takes Swipe at Salman Khan for Forgetting Dialogues, Praises Ranbir Kapoor

"Besharam" director Abhinav Kashyap in a recent interview revealed that Salman Khan differs from Ranbir Kapoor and often forgot his lines.

Kashyap, who had directed Salman Khan in blockbuster "Dabanng", is known to share cold vibes with the actor, which led the former to opt out of the film's sequel "Dabanng 2".

When asked of a comparison between the two actors, Kashyap took a swipe at Salman saying, "Salman never rehearses and often forgets his lines. He is very spontaneous, though. A lot of times, even the director is in the dark - we don't know what he'd say in a particular scene until he goes ahead and says it. But that works for him," reported Pune Mirror.

"On the other hand, Ranbir is the most hardworking actor I have seen. He rehearses meticulously, sometimes days in advance," he added.

And when asked of his take on debutant director Arbaaz Khan's "Dabanng 2", Kashyap was quite a cynic. "To be fair to Arbaaz, he didn't do a bad job at all with Dabangg 2. He got the rewards for it, while he also faced the brunt, as comparisons were inevitable," he said.

Who doesn't know about the infamous cold war between director Abhinav Kashyap and Salman Khan.

They teamed up for Dabangg and rocked the box office but after that Abhinav Kashyap and Salman Khan parted ways. Kashyap walked out of Dabangg and Arbaaz Khan took over the film's direction.

Now Abhinav, who has directed Besharam with Ranbir in lead role, has told a leading daily that Salman often forgets his lines.

In an interview to a leading daily, when asked about difference in working with Salman and Ranbir, Abhinav said, "Salman never rehearses and often forgets his lines. He is very spontaneous, though. A lot of times, even the director is in the dark - we don't know what he'd say in a particular scene until he goes ahead and says it."

While about Ranbir, Abhinav was all praises: "Ranbir is the most hardworking actor I have seen. He rehearses meticulously, sometimes days in advance."

Salman's fans are already upset with the trailer of Besharam in which Ranbir says, "Sirf Chulbul naam rakhne se koi Dabangg nahi ban jaata". Now with this comparison Abhinav has added fuel to the fire.

Salman Khan's ex girlfriends Katrina Kaif and Sangeeta Bijlani joined the Khan-daan for the Ganpati visarjan on Tuesday (September 10).
Also joining the celebrations at Salman Khan's home was his Dabangg co-star Sonakshi Sinha.


This year Salman Khan and family decided to host the Ganesh Chaurthi celebrations at Arpita's residence in the suburbs because of renovation work at his Bandra residence.
While Sangeeta Bijlani is a regular face at most of the Khan get togethers, Katrina Kaif has kept her distance from Salman as well as the family recently.

Even after their breakup, Salman and Katrina maintained a close relationship till the rumours of her cozying upto Ranbir Kapoor surfaced.
Apparently, Katrina Kaif was no longer invited to any of the family functions.
However, looks like she has finally made her peace with Salman and his family. According to reports, Katrina is very close to Arpita and she is often seen hanging out with her.
But to everyone's surprise Ranbir's sister Riddhima Kapoor was spotted at Salman Khan's residence on Ganesh Chaturthi with her daughter Samara.

The Ganesh Utsav also saw a large number of Bollywood celebs including Ranbir Kapoor's cousin Karisma Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Mini Mathur and Prateik Babbar among others.

Salman Khan’s Ganpati changes address, yet again

Earlier, Salman Khan's family had decided to host Lord Ganesha at their Panvel farmhouse with the family's Bandra home under renovation.

Now the celebrations have changed venue once again and the family will bring in the festivities at the actor's sister Alvira Khan's Bandra apartment.

A source close to the family said that the plan was changed as the Khans feared that too many locals may drop by at Panvel farmhouse.

Confirming this, Salim Khan said, "Also, we always have friends and relatives coming over for Ganpati darshan. Panvel is quite far for everyone to drop by."

This is the 12th year that Salman is hosting the elephant-headed God and the tradition was started at the insistence of Arpita, the youngest of the siblings.

"Arpita is in charge again and the celebrations which start today will continue for one-and-a-half days," Salman's father added.

Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez is shedding her glamorous image for her role in Salman Khan-starrer "Kick". She says she is trying to fit into the image of a girl-next-door.

"I am trying to better myself so I can be a little more spontaneous...Even physically, for the role we are trying to fit into something that is a little more girl-next-door," the 28-year-old said here Friday at the press conference of Enchanted Valley Carnival music festival.

"I am trying to move away and break free of the image I had in 'Race 2', which was a little more action-packed and glamorous. So, a lot of work has to go in physically and mentally," she added.

Jacqueline Fernandez has also been taking Urdu lessons for the film.

Being directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, "Kick" also stars Randeep Hooda. It is currently slated for release in July 2014.

Pulkit Samrat, who was last seen in 'Fukrey' and better known as Salman Khan's protege, is also acting in 'O Teri', produced by Salman's brother-in-law, former actor, Atul Agnihotri. Pulkit will also share screen space with Salman Khan in 'Mental', which is tentatively titled.

Now there is another addition to the Salman-Pulkit connection. It is learnt that Pulkit has been approached to be the ambassador of a footwear brand that was earlier endorsed by Salman! Says a source, "Salman's contract with the brand ended some time ago and the brand was on the lookout for a new face. Considering Pulkit's popularity with the youth especially in the heartland states, he's been approached to be the face of the brand and currently talks are on."

Nargis Fakhri Opposite Salman Khan In Sooraj Barjatya’s Next?

MUMBAI: Salman Khan’s association with Sooraj Barjatya goes a long way back, and Prem in whatever forms has been an immortal character.
Now Salman Khan will be back with Sooraj Barjatya in his next, rumoured to be titled ‘Bade Bhaiyya’. And the buzz is that Nargis Fakhri may be close to playing the lead opposite Salman Khan in the film.
Earlier, apparently, Sooraj Barjatya wanted to sign on ‘Cocktail’s Diana Penty for the role. There were also rumours that Ileana D’cruz has been signed on opposite Salman Khan.
Then ‘Madras Cafe’ happened. A source says, “’Madras Cafe’ released and the important players from Sooraj’s office liked her performance. It was then decided to narrate the script to her and organise an audition.”
Meanwhile, Nargis Fakhri, too, is enthused about the role. The source adds, “She is hoping she bags the role as it’s a big project with Salman Khan returning once again in his popular character Prem. However, an official announcement will be made soon.”
The film is scheduled to shoot in the latter half of 2014, with a release in mid-2015. Salman Khan’s fans eagerly await a romantic Prem on the silver screen again.

Salman Khan’s films always rake in a lot of moolah, a part of which he spends on his Being Human. The actor also plunged into production with the film, Chillar Party, which was made on a tight budget. Under the Being Human Production house, Sallu plans to produce more films that deliver a social message.
We hear that Salman Khan’s Being Human Productions will launch five new movies soon. Also, most of these films will be for kids with a strong message. The earnings from these films will be contributed towards charity and upliftment of the poor and needy. Though Salman intends his Being Human films to cover social causes and awareness, his film with Suraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty will not be produced under the Being Human banner…

Salman Khan offers financial help to Panvel accident victims

The Being Human actor shows his humanitarian side yet again!

Salman Khan who is known for his humble gestures did it again. The Dabangg dude recently gave Rs 5 lakh to the families of accident victims which took place in Panvel.
A passenger bus comprising of about 30-35 families, met with a horrendous accident on the Panvel highway which is very near to our eternal bachelor’s farmhouse. Apparently, Sallu was quite worried by the accident and hence without giving a second thought, he decided to help the families by lending a support of Rs 5 lakh, to each family.
Now isn’t that sweet? We have to admit that the Dabangg actor never fails to disappoint his fans. What say, people?

Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif not to pair up for Prabhu Deva's next

After setting the cash registers ringing at the box office and starting a new wave of action-masala entertainers with Wanted, Salman and choreographer-turned-director Prabhu Deva are teaming up for a film, to be produced by Tips.

Rumours were doing the rounds that Prabhu Deva's film will bring Salman and Katrina back on screen again.

"We have not signed Katrina for the film. We have not thought of who the leading lady will be opposite Salman. We are still working on the script. The story is not yet completed," Ramesh Taurani of Tips said.

Salman and Katrina were last seen in Ek Tha Tiger.

Since Salman has a packed schedule, the shooting for the film will begin next year.

Taurani is quite excited about his upcoming Shahid Kapoor starrer Phata Poster Nikla Hero. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film also stars Ileana D'Cruz and releases on September 20.

"The film has all the ingredients that audience would look for - right from romance, drama, action, song and dance. We loved the story and hence decided to back it. It is a clean and neat complete family entertainer film," Taurani said.
